Bridge 9 Store

New Found Glory's sixth album Not Without A Fight is a call to arms. After five albums in a volatile major label system, New Found Glory has now signed to independent punk institution Epitaph. Not Without A Fight was recorded and funded by the band with no label influence and no pressure on the band except writing the record they wanted to write-and with the help of producer and friend Mark Hoppus- the result is a release marking the new phase of this already storied career.

Bridge Nine Records (with Epitaph and New Found Glory) are teaming up to release the Not Without A Fight vinyl LP.

This limited package deal is a one-stop vinyl collector's package. It includes:
1) The Red Bridge Nine exclusive (limited to 500), the Gray vinyl Hot Topic exclusive (Limited to 1200, but being sold in a limited quantity with this pre-order with permission from the awesome HT folks) and the versions of light green (limited to 1500) and camo vinyl (limited to 3000) LP variants. There are only about 300 package deals available.

All purchases will get you discounts on other NFG vinyl from now until release date (March 10th 2009) as well as the Not Without A Fight CD-discounts are available on the checkout screen after you add this item to your cart.

I am a slacker

I have been slacking on the news as of late. Chad did an interview with with Buzznet. Here is it.

Behind Closed Doors: New Found Glory's Chad Breaks Up With Girls Through Text
When New Found Glory's lead guitarist Chad Gilbert is not out on tour you just might spot him at the movies, on a hike or lounging in the bathtub. Even though Chad is currently taken, ladies take note that Chad will not judge a girl on their booty, but he likes butts and he will not lie.

Buzznet: Do you have a morning bathroom routine? If so what does it entail from when you get out of bed until you are dressed for the day?

Chad: I kind of have a routine. I usually get up around 8 am and go hiking with my upstairs neighbor Toby from H20. When I get back I then take a bath. The hike is a crazy workout on my legs so I’m too lazy to stand up in the shower. I just sit and chill.

Buzznet:Who was your first kiss? Details ... How old were you? Where were you?

Chad: My first make out kiss was when I was in the 5th grade. I lived in an apartment complex called eagles nest. All the kids in the apartment complex were so bored all the time it just seemed like everyone would just cause trouble or hook up. I was hanging out in one of the apartments with friends and this developed 8th grade girl thought it was cute I never made out with anyone so she pushed me on the couch and got on top of me and made out with me. She took her top off to. ha-ha! I was psyched ha-ha. She wanted to teach me how to kiss.

Buzznet: What do you have hanging on your walls in your bedroom? Posters? Artwork?

Chad: I have a painting of Bjork. I have a few framed posters such as The Outsiders, Taxi Driver, and Coal Miners' Daughter. I also have a big collage kind of thing with pictures of all my friends that my girlfriend made me for Christmas.

Buzznet: Do you have any fetishes? Any pet peeves?

Chad: I hate it when people chew with their mouths open. If I can hear people smacking their lips and chomping while eating i tend to rage inside. It grosses me out.

Buzznet: What is the first quality you look for in the opposite sex?

Chad: I like a combo of things. I look at the way a girl eyes squint and shine when she smiles. I’m definitely a booty guy as well but that’s not a quality I first look for, more like an added bonus!

Buzznet: What do you wear to sleep at night?

Chad: I only wear boxer briefs to sleep.

Buzznet: Do you have a nickname?

Chad: I have had tons of nicknames but the most popular is “Chadball”. Madball are friends of mine and my favorite hardcore band so I was given the name.

Buzznet: What was your first job? What was your worst job?

Chad: My first job was at a movie theater. I loved it. I worked there for about 2 and half years. I did everything from tearing tickets to ushering to the concession stand to even popping popcorn upstairs. I would always sneak in tons of friends and sneak free food and drinks. Free movies on off days were rad as well. It did have a few downsides. Popcorn puke did suck to mop up and for some reason when people had diarrhea they couldn't aim right and make it in the bowl. I would gag!

Buzznet: What song do you know every word to, but are totally embarrassed that you know so well?

Chad: 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' by Shania Twain. The melody rules!

Buzznet: What text message or voice mail do you regret sending to someone so much that you will never forget doing it?

Chad: I once was breaking up with a girl and she fully didn't know yet. I was texting a friend about it and I somehow sent the text to the girl. Whoops.

Buzznet: Which era do you most wish you lived in and why?

Chad: I like the style of people back in the rag-time era. It was from 1897 to 1918. It was the first American musical genre.

Buzznet: Do you have any scars? If so what happened? If not name one imperfection on your body?

Chad: I have a chicken pock scar on my right temple. When I was in elementary school I would try to impress the girls and tell them that I got shot by a b-b gun shot me.

Buzznet: If we gave you sourdough bread and you could put anything on your sandwich what would it be?

Chad: Cheese its, peanut M&M’s, turkey, popcorn, French onion dip, lays chips and a garden burger patty.

Buzznet: When you hear the word “oatmeal” what is the very first thing that comes to your mind?

Chad: Breakfast.

From the Myspace Website of the New Found Glory Band.

Hello Party People,

As most of you already know, the band VERSE, who was meant to open our “Not Without A Fight” tour has broken up. Now to announce the band:

The band that will replace Verse will be none other than SHAI HULUD!! They are a fellow Floridian band and we grew up in the South Florida scene playing shows side by side. We felt this would be an interesting and fun replacement. They have an awesome album that came out recently called “MISANTHROPY PURE”.Check it!

Listen To Your Friends - In Stores Today.

For those that did not pre-order the Listen To Your Friends 7", you can still get your hands on the white copy by running down to Hot Topic and hope to Dog that they have some there.

Go to your local record shop to find the red and blue versions of the 7".

As for the coveted clear version. You are just S.O.L.

Sorry

Back to the Future. eh? or the Past. I guess. (I never did quite understand why they decided to name it that.)

I like to reminisce about the olden days. The days when music only came out of a magical boxes with buttons and nobs, and no matter which direction you walked, it was always up hill. Yes. the good old days.

http://newfoundglory.mcarecords.com/default.asp

Go check out some old New Found Glory news. It will let you go back all the way back to the year 2000.

It is like a time and space anomaly is open in cyberspace and if we aren't able to close it by 2012 we all get sucked in to it. Then we will have to live permanently in the year 2000. hm.

Starting today I am campaigning to protect this time/space hole with all I can offer. Which happens to be a rubber knife and a rusty railroad spike.

If you are so in-Klein-d

Steve Klein updated his blog banner. It looks cool.

Big news. Right?

Right where we left off...

I guess you could say I am still calming down from the Grammy Awards. NFG and Blink have always been my favorite bands. Well, not always. I was really in to Raffi and Peter, Paul and Mary for a while. Those were my early years. I think maybe NFG and Blink should go on tour together again. Just my opinion.

Now to business. The site has been up for a while now. At this point I would like to ask you guys for some help. What would you like to see on the site? Media? Bios? Dinosaurs? Let us know. We would like to do our best to supply you with a one stop shop for anything NFG. We can't guarantee you everything, but we will try.

Now some new. I am a little slow on this one. sorry. A new webisode is up on their Myspace page. It is Chad vs Steve. Chad would obviously win that battle. Hands down. So yeah, go check it out.

Lastly, I would like to let everyone know about 182online.com. It is a fan site for Blink-182. Ok just call me captain obvious. Well it is run by the same people as plus44online. Good site. Updated constantly. A must visit site for any Blink fan.

"Just then I found a note in my pocket it read..."

Don't freak about the leak!

Chad had this to say on the newfoundglorystuff.com forum as a reaction to the album leak:

"On the song 47 its actually a mix of me and Jordan. Im screaming more or less and jordan is yelling in his voice. "i called 46 times!" . The combo of our voices makes it hard to tell exactly who is singing but i think it makes it sound different in a good way. There is no Hoppus though. We love us some mark but we wanted to make this record 100% NFG with no guests. In the past we have had lots of guests on our cd's but this one we felt needed to just be us.

As far as the leaking thing. If my favorite bands cd came out early online i would download it to. For instance the new Morrissey record. I dont think it comes out for another 2 weeks and i've had it for like 3 weeks now. I will still buy it though because when i love a band or singer i gotta have the album artwork. It is a bumm out that some of the anticipation is lost. the whole building up to release date loses a bit of its excitement but to be honest the fans that would go out of their way to download it are the true fans that go out of their way to buy merch and post online about how much they like it and are the ones that will know the words first and sing every song at the show. You are driven to get it because you like NFG so how can I be bummed at that! So to all that have it. Spread the word if you like it and get people to go pick it up when it comes out! Not even for our sake but for epitaphs to. They are so passionate about NFG and our fans. They are true music lovers and they try to always put together cool and fun stuff for fans of this genre of music."
Nicely put Chad.
My album's pre-ordered and my tickets purchased for my local show.

"I has not a space poetry."

A Little Off Topic

It appears that Blink-182 may be getting back together. Plus 44 Online has the whole scoop. I am sure we have all heard that they will be reunited at the Grammys. I don't know how I feel about it. I didn't care for AvA, I loved (+44). I LOVED BLINK 182. I really didn't like the last Blink album. I felt like you could tell they didn't really like each other anymore. I guess if they truely have reconciled and are rebuilding their relationships, a new Blink album should be great. The part I don't think will work is AvA not breaking up. I have heard small rumors about (+44) being over, but honestly I don't feel like any off those rumors hold water yet. Anyway. If Blink really reunites, I hope it rocks.

Awesome

Not that I have heard the the new album *wink*
But If I had downloaded it and listened to it all day today, I would have to say it was awesome and really makes a great addition to the NFG library.

Also. I got my 4 pack of Listen To Your Friends vinyls. Fun Fun.
The mystery color was clear. I wasn't really sure why they sent 4 posters with the 4 packs. Oh well. the more the merrier.

I would also like to say that I have the new album pre-ordered and will be ordering the vinyl copy of the new album. Just incase some of you think I downloaded the new album *wink*, and because of that you think I am scum.

Well. I am not scum Lars Ulrich. SO THERE.

Not Suprised

A Few Things

Over at the NFG Myspace they have a new webisode up.
How exciting

I got to be honest on this one. After the first webisode, I was hoping to get more like that. The main problem I have is that they are too short. Thats it.

Some new blogs up too on Myspace.

One taking about the tour.
One talking about a contest to win tickets
One talking about the limited edition LTMF 7" vinyl.

Go check out the NFG Stuff forum. GO NOW.
I wish for that forum to become the new NGCS forum or Sincerely Me forum. I miss both of them.

Thats all for today.
